Happy St. Patricks Day!
Taking cute and heart warming photos of your little ones is part of the joys of motherhood. While it’s great to have professional photography done, not everyone can afford it all the time. Even if you can, sometimes you just cant fit it into your schedule.
Doing family and baby photography can be done easily with a few cheap purchases. For our St. Patricks pictures I got everything I needed from the thrift and dollar stores. I got her ‘lucky charm’ onesie at the thrift store, and the rest (table cloth, clover confetti, and baby headband) were bought from the Dollarama!
Setting up for the photos is easy. The tablecloth is used as a background. Tape it up onto a wall and use it like a drop sheet. Try some pictures with your baby laying on the flat floor. Then try putting pillows under the tablecloth to get your baby into some different poses. I used a nursing pillow, a blanket and even a dog bed!
My mom is much better with a camera than I am so I always ask for her help!
Just remember to take LOTS of photos and have fun with it. And remember, not every picture is going to turn out great. As much as we love them, photoshoots aren’t so fun for baby! But the ‘outtakes’ can be funny memories to hold on to as well!
